Join Our Volunteer Board – Help Shape the Future of Sustainable Farming!
Sprout is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering small-scale farmers, promoting sustainable farming practices, and strengthening local food systems. We are currently seeking two passionate individuals to join our board:
- Board Member – Fundraising & Development
- Board Member – Policy & Legislation

Board Member – Fundraising & Development
Ideal for someone with experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or corporate partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding partners.
- Contribute to financial planning and revenue diversification efforts.
Board Member – Policy & Legislation
Ideal for someone with expertise in policy development, legislative frameworks, or advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on regulatory and legislative matters affecting small-scale farmers and sustainable agriculture.
- Support the organisation’s advocacy efforts to influence policy in favour of local food systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices in policy and governance.
Commitment & Application
Approx. 10 hours per month (including monthly online board meetings, AGM, and one annual strategic planning session).
