Sprout Tasmania is honoured to be recognised at the Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards 2023
Media Release – October 2023
Sprout is thrilled to announce winning the Fonterra Australia Agricultural Award at the recent Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards. The Fonterra Australia Agriculture Award applauds our unsung heroes and high achievers working on land or marine farming who work tirelessly to provide us with food and drink.
Our fellow finalists were Tasmanian Natural Garlic & Tomatoes, Dr Matthew Harrison from UTAS/Tas Institute of Agriculture, and Tasmanian Berries Pty Ltd.
The TASCAA nominations are judged by a panel including representatives from Award partners, community leaders and independent expert judges for each category.
“It means so much to Sprout to have the validation of those experts on the panel from the agriculture sector, to show they value the work we do, and the contribution small-scale producers make to the state,” said Sprout CEO Jennifer Robinson.
“Sharing our story across the TASCAA networks, with their judges and all the other amazing finalists in the room that night was invaluable. This award is an opportunity to keep our momentum going, to see what more we can do to create real change in our local food and farming system across Tasmania.”
