In 2023 Sprout Tasmania applied for and received funding from the State Government (NRE) as part of the Strategic Industry Partnership Program (SIPP) in order to undertake a collaborative project on lease and share farming.
When discussing the project with organisations interstate that had conducted similar work we realised that there was scope to share some of the resources we aimed to produce. In order to realise this, and to open up the project further to allow for collaboration with Young Farmers Connect, we successfully applied for additional funding through the Sustainable Table Fund.
The Land Access Toolkit was co-authored by Sprout Tasmania and Young Farmers Connect and published in 2024. You can choose to download either the full toolkit or individual sections and appendices below.
Join us for a free webinar on 26 September from 7.30-8.30pm where we will be launching the toolkit, discussing what we’ve learnt, and hearing from three farmers who provided case studies – Keeley Bytheway from Fat Pig Produce, Mike Densham and Kez Tsaushu from Five Tales Farm, and Liz Mahnken from Summerlea Farm.
